Not all who wonder are lost.

Is it such a bad thing to be the black sheep of the family? To take a detour in life, enjoy being stress and responsibility free. I guess many would look down on a person that doesn’t see the urgency running around trying to build a career, put food on the table, buy a car etc. The prodigal son or daughter is the one who takes a short left on life and squanders the parents money through varsity and hides the horrendous results at the end of each term.
However a prodigal son or daughter has the opportunity to learn from their mistakes. An example we have is that of the prodigal son in the bible. The prodigal son squandered all his inheritance on the good times just like many students do at varsity, but the important thing is that he learned from his mistakes and reconciled with his father and family.
Parents should never give up on their children, because even those who are lost and wandering away without any direction may one day be focused. I know of a friend who has lived the life of the prodigal son, with no hope of him being educated and having his own family. It seemed as if he was wandering without any direction and many had concluded he was a lost soul.
Today he is a father and a loving husband who has completed his degree and pursuing a postgraduate degree. Today he makes more money than the people who looked down on him and judged him for being a lost soul.

  2. I have learnt that life is unpredictable, there's always a curtain infront of you and you never know what will happen next. You might hear news that will change your life for the best or for the worst. But you shouldn't kick a dog when it's down. Ivili liyajikeleza!
