To diet or not to diet...

Being on a diet can be challenging because it needs discipline and motivation as well as self control.  It could be dangerous whereas on the other hand it could be valuable and beneficial.  Diets vary on occasions yet some could lead to anorexia or bulimia, leaving some people physically and psychologically damaged or even scarred for life.  Being in full control of yourself and what you want of yourself is therefore important because you are able to control yourself as well as having power over what you eat and what not to eat.  For people who are naturally big (obese) or unhealthy it could therefore be advantageous because it not only makes you lose weight but it also gives you knowledge on what you eat and the nutritional value of it, therefore keeps you aware of what your body desperately needs and what it does not.  On a medical note it is also advantageous because one could avoid diseases such as hypertension, heart related diseases as well as diabetes.  Therefore diets are not all that bad.
