Happy Mandela Day – 67 mins to help others

What did you do on the 18th of July? What are you doing today to make a difference in your community?
We need to take conscious actions that will make a positive change in the lives of others as we celebrate Mandela Day/Month.  As South Africans we need to reflect on Mandela’s thoughts and actions.
Mandela Day is a call to people everywhere to take responsibility for making the world a better place, one small step at a time, just as Nelson Mandela did. If each one of us takes action then we can incrementally change the world.
On July 18,  I spent the day at Kensington Old Age home planting a vegetable garden, donating toiletries and also chatting with the elderly to keep them company. As community members we need to Think, Act and Initiate change.
